Chalet d’Ile is a large yet cosy chalet, sleeping up to 10 guests in 4 bedrooms (2 double rooms, 1 twin room and 1 quadruple room). The lounge area features an open log fireplace and patio windows, which open out onto a large private garden with stunning views of Mont Blanc and the Aiguille du Midi. The garden is equipped with a BBQ and outdoor furniture for sunny days.
Accommodation is on a fully catered basis. This includes breakfast, afternoon tea and evening meal on 6 days of the week. Breakfast is a hearty affair of cereals, porridge, French baguette, butter, spreads, boiled eggs, orange juice, tea and coffee. Afternoon tea will be laid out for you, on your return from your day on the hill. Make yourself at home, put the kettle on and help yourself to some of Breezy?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s legendary freshly baked cakes or biscuits, French baguette, butter and jam. Your 3 course evening meal will be freshly prepared and home-cooked and accompanied by plenty of wine. On the hosts?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢ one day off, breakfast will be self service and in the evening you will be able to sample one of the many restaurants in town. Breezy and Alun will be happy to offer advise based on what you like to eat and will even book a restaurant on your behalf.
The location of Chalet d?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢Ile is ideal for those who like to be near the action, but not so near that you can hear it! The chalet is in the ?¢‚ǨÀúLes Pelerins?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢ district of Chamonix, a quiet residential area just 10 minutes walk from the resort centre. There are also local buses that run circuits into town and to the ski areas.
Facilities at Chalet d?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢Ile include a ski storage room with heated boot warmers, a storage area for bikes and sports equipment, private outdoor car parking and free Wi-Fi internet access.
Alun and Breezy love to ski, snowboard, climb and hike and are happy to give you some insider tips on where to go and what to do whilst in Chamonix. They welcome groups and individuals and can sometimes offer last minute deals on long weekends and short breaks, depending on availability.
