Hello all,

Our head chef (Sam) is away on a short break so the kitchen is not running a full menu for a short period.  This weekend we are open Friday 16h30 – 21h30 (fish & chips special), Saturday, 12h00 – 21h30 (Moules Frites Special & Full English Breakfast), Sunday 12h-00 – 21h30 (Sunday Roast), closed Monday, Tuesday 17h00-21h30 (Curry Night).

We are completing our new summer menu which will have great cheap lunch time deals, amazing new wraps and sandwiches, new salads, cured meat and cheese boards and other wonderful things to look forward to.  It will be posted on-line soon for you to get a taster.

Mr Luke Stephens is turning 30 this Friday 18th May and we are going celebrate his birthday at Monkey this Friday by having an awesome party.

The antics will really begin when we hit 2 for 1 cocktail happy hour.  DJ Willy T will be putting on some classic Hip-Hop for your ears and We’ll be pouring some shots for your bellies.  Come down and wish this legend a happy birthday!

To ease you in to your Friday night we will be having a little pool comp starting at 6.30pm where the winner will get a wonderful 50€ bar tab!

The kitchen will be serving beer battered cod, home-cut fries, garden peas and our home made tartar sauce (Fish ‘n’ Chips 12,50€) from 4.30pm – 9.30pm.

Right, listen up! So it’s your last chance (maybe ever) to come and listen to these cool cats do their thing. 3D Rob is off to surf camp and the one and only Matt Swords is going galavanting around the rest of Europe in search of enlightenment. We’ve loved having them play their music and the rest this season but the time has come to say goodbye. So in memory of the great Birdy and to say farewell to the brothers Swords come to Monkey and boogie to their music and drink to their health for long live the Birdy and forever be the Swords! 9.30 start, don’t be late!

The summery weather is back.  The Monkey terrace is out with its flowers ablooming.  We have a new rosé for the summer which you should come and taste on ice whilst basking in the afternoon sun.  The Pistol Shrimps will be serenading you from dusk (9pmish) whilst you take in the majestic sunset bathing Mont-Blanc in a pale pink haze.  The specials are our classic fish and chips served with garden peas and home-made tartar sauce OR ginger roasted cod with mussels fresh salad and rice (both only 12,50€).  On top of that it’s Friday… why not get a little tipsy and dance a jig. Why these images you ask?… No reason.

Le temps estival est de retour et la terrasse du Monkey est sortie. Nous avons un nouveaux rosé pour l’été que vous devez venir déguster tout en vous dorant au soleil l’après-midi. Les Pistol Shrimps jouent au couche du soleil.  Les plats du jours sont notre classic “fish & chips” ou cabillaud rôti au gingembre avec moules salade et riz (seulement 12,50 €). En plus de cela, c’est vendredi … pourquoi pas se mettre un peu pompette et danser la gigue.

It’s that time of year again.  Chamonix bars, Monkey included will be closing doors at 1am for inter-season.  That means last orders at 12.30am so make sure you get your self out earlier so you have enough time to get tipsy. Our terrace is out and it looks like the weather might be improving so we’ll be able to bask in the sun with a cold beverage soon enough.

We have also recently received the new lot of Monkey T-shirts.  We have guys T’s and girls T’s and girls vest tops in a variety of sizes and colours.  So come and get them while their hot.  We’ll get some modelling photos up for you ASAP.

This Tuesday the 8th of May Monkey Is the location for the Grand Montets closing party after party. After all the mayhem on the hill you can head down to Monkey to get loose to the Birds with Swords (minus the bird but with a special guest). We have live music, food specials, drinks specials, special DJs and more. Watch this space for the details. Starting at 5.30pm.

This Saturday Mr Delf and Iye95 are joining vinyl forces to play you some bangin tubes in the first showboat extravaganza at Monkey. These two handsome chaps will serenading you from 9,30pm-ish with some hip-hop gems that’ll get you body popping your way around the bar.

This Friday your ears are going to be stroked by the sweet music made by this now locally infamous duo.  While they stroke your ears we’ll stroke your taste buds with some delicious beverages to give you sensory overload to start the weekend.  Come down early for a beer on Monkeys heated terrace before enjoying 2 for 1 cocktails 9pm – 10pm.

Don’t worry Monkey is NOT closing for inter-season!  This Wednesday we are throwing a last ladies night of the season.  That means your last chance for all the girls to pay 5€ to get free re-fills of wine and champagne all night long and dance your pants off to some classic party tracks from the 80′s.  It’s also Morganes birthday so we’ll be celebrating that too.  Happy Birthday! Fancy Dress is not obligatory but if you feel like getting some 80′s get up on we’ll throw some shots your way!
