CHAMONIX VALLEY AND MONT-BLANC AREA WEATHER FORECAST

GENERAL SYNOPSIS

High 1025 hpa, Central Europe, weakening. Low 967 hpa west of Ireland with thalweg reaching Spain. Moderate southerly stream over the area, strengthening today with f?hn wind over the northern slopes. The southern part of the thalweg is expected to isolating as a low over Southern France by Friday and durin the week-end, driving the linked disturbance mainly south of the Alps while keeping on the f?hn wind effect over the northern slopes and a barrier situation with heavy precipitation over Italy.
